Personal InterestsSport: Currently I enjoy running, cycling and snowboarding. I played rugby for 19 years and it gave me a great opportunity to mix with people from all ages and walks of life. In the US I played for NOVA but still have connections to my old team Tavistock & North Tawton Ladies’ Rugby Team (for which I was the Vice-Captain for 2 years); I missed one season due to a broken wrist (snowboarding accident!) and haven’t had a chance to return to the game as there’s so much else to do out here ! As a balance to the more physical sports, I attend regular yoga classes for relaxation, strength and flexibility. As well as being fun and the chance to hang out with friends, these activities provide me with interests and challenges very different from my academic work and a great way to stay fit and healthy. Travel: Thoroughly enjoy national and international travel as part of my job and for holidays. Music: I play the piano and classical guitar for pleasure (rather than performing). Renting a large house in the US is great as there's room for a baby grand piano! Other: 2006 Attended course on Life Coaching 1999 Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology & Therapeutic Body Massage. 1989 Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award National Teaching Fellowship | Summary Curriculum Vitae | Curriculum Vitae
