Successful Funding Applications


Whilst at the GEES Subject Centre I have brought in an additional £154, 100 to support a wide variety of learning and teaching projects including employability, widening participations, ethics, CPD and pedagogic research. I was also involved in developing the original bid for the Subject Centre. Whilst at the University of Southampton I bid for and gained an additional £68, 255 for learning and teaching related initiatives including the Faculty of Science L&T Co-ordinator, Graduate Teaching Assistants’ Training Programme and FDTL continuation funding.

Publications


I have published widely on various themes including: managing programmes of small-scale research and development funding, continuing professional development in higher education, discipline-based pedagogic research, dissemination and evaluation for learning and teaching projects, threshold concepts in the disciplines, and learning and teaching at Masters level.

Presentations


I have provided over 30 presentations and workshops on learning and teaching at a wide variety of local, national and international events and conferences. Themes have included: school students perceptions of the disciplines, integrating entrepreneurship in the curriculum, team-based approaches to educational development, and continuing professional development.
