Geocognition"Geocognition is an interdisciplinary science that investigates the mental processes involved in geological observations and interpretations. Such processes are critical in enabling and enhancing our fundamental understanding of the Earth. Geocognition research requires both the rigorous application of cognitive science methodologies and a comprehensive understanding of geological phenomena. Such research may explore the cognitive processes of geoscience experts, novices or students, the general public and policy makers; indeed anyone who has (or should have) a stake in understanding the Earth." (King et al, 2008) Lists of my current roles and projects, recent publications and presentations are provided below. Papers and presentations are also available to download from my blog.
